Upon arrival was handed my waters and told the breakfast buffet is in the main restaurant. I arrived around midnight and called for the shuttle to be told it was already on the way, and showed up a few mins later. AT 20k points, it was a pretty good redemption, since the lowest I was finding was about $150-160 including taxes even with my corp code. I recently had a one night stay here before the KC BBQ DO. Demolish and rebuild seems to be a good idea. I don't know what you do with a hotel like this. Staff is trying and the cosmetic maintenance seems okay. Worst Hilton stay I've ever had due to the poor condition of the guts of the hotel. What water actually stayed in the shower stayed in the tub for an extended period because the shower literally did not drain.Īlso the toilet which functioned so slowly I was shocked every time that it completed its entire cycle even with just liquids, plugged up after very limited other use. The shower had excellent water pressure but unfortunately the shower head put water all over including behind me and water got all over the bathroom floor. Someone with a strong sense of smell would not like this at all. My sense of smell is pretty terrible yet I could still smell this. There is a lot of piped in air refresher trying to cover the smell up but it has a very tall task to try to achieve. Water damage all over the ceilings all over the place (leaks as well as brown areas all over) on various floors. The problem is the building is just so old and the guts of the building seem very poorly maintained. is fine as all of this stuff seems to be new. The physical condition of things like the carpet, beds, furniture, etc. The hotel overall as well as the room are unfortunately another matter. You pay a Ramada or Days Inn type rate and you get better linens and a better breakfast. I understand why this place has a $71 MVP Rate on weekends. I am not sure what retail value is but the restaurant and buffet are both nice enough. Golds still receive full hot breakfast here (buffet, which is open until 11 AM daily) and the breakfast is definitely above average for a US Hilton.
